![]() It was not until the Sony a7R III that we saw a high-resolution full frame camera hit 10 fps.īut with recent mirrorless cameras, like the Sony a1, we have seen technology shift toward speed and resolution together as the norm. There were high-resolution bodies, and there were speedy bodies. Traditionally, flagship models have had lower resolutions (normally around 20 megapixels) to enable sports photographers and photojournalists, who are less concerned about high resolution and more about speed, to have the efficiency they need. Will It Be the Sensor?Įvery new camera Canon releases tell us more about the eventual EOS R1, because it sets bars that a flagship must clear to maintain its status at the top of the line model. Whether it was the likes of Sony and Fuji pushing the company into such a design philosophy shift or something else, it does not really matter things have changed, and Canon is plowing ahead at a breakneck pace. But the 1D X Mark III and EOS R5 pointed toward a brighter future - not just a quickening of the R&D curve, but a fundamental paradigm shift. This feeling was doubled when one looked at Sony blazing ahead. Their lenses have always been spectacular, but even as they pushed into full frame mirrorless, their cameras felt overly measured, restrained. Years ago, Canon was known for producing reliable professional workhorses, but for perhaps artificially handicapping feature sets to distinguish camera bodies from each other and for failing to push the technological envelope. I have discussed before how Canon seems to have made a paradigm shift in camera design philosophy. But where do you grow from here? 2021 Canon Is Not 2015 Canon The two most obvious hints are the fact that the EOS R5 and EOS R6 are direct analogs to the 5D and 6D series DSLRs and that the company says the EOS R3 "will usher in a new category to the EOS R system, positioned squarely between the EOS R5 and EOS-1D X Mark III cameras," indicating that there is still room to grow. You would be wrong, though.Ĭanon has used the "1" designator for flagship bodies for decades now, and they have given us plenty of hints that that remains the case with the R line of mirrorless cameras. If you saw the specs for the Canon EOS R3 that have been released so far (30 fps burst rate, more advanced autofocus than the already spectacular EOS R5, a newly developed stacked CMOS sensor with a back-illuminated design, eye-controlled autofocus, and more) and you assumed that this was Canon's mirrorless flagship making its first public appearance, you would be making a totally reasonable assumption. ![]() And yet, there is still the EOS R1 to come. And now, the EOS R3 has shown us that they are swinging for the fences. Canon's EOS R5 showed us they were finally taking mirrorless seriously. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Load your old beats into your DAW and load the sounds you've had before. Player Roles are special titles that can be earned by members of your squad that affect both mental and physical attributes as well as increasing club funding in some cases. A solid, dependable team of players who connect properly will always win out against a team of flashy egos. You'll drop more points in the long term by being unbalanced, so when you invest into the team you need to improve each area gradually by buying players who suit your style rather than those who have the highest stats. This is just as true for any other position too. Overloading the frontline with super strikers and neglecting the backline is whimsical nonsense in PES 2017 because you may have the goalscoring power, but if your defensive line can't handle a simple set piece or through ball without panic then it counts for naught. Check their individual stats to make sure they will fit your vision, and more importantly, check how likely they are to want a transfer in the first place. It's here that a little research pays off. A solid, experienced centre back, a hungry young talent in midfield and a seasoned keeper who is being neglected by his current club are key players to get in through loans. By taking in young talent not getting game time at their parent club, or old hands that are being phased out, you can greatly improve your squad for the season. If they turn out to be awful then you can ship them out and look for better backup.Īs mentioned earlier, money isn't exactly flowing out of your pockets at the start so in order to improve the squad you have the Youth setup to call upon, and just as vitally, the loan system. More importantly, by using more of your squad you not only find out where it needs work, but also give yourself a stronger bench to call upon. You may discover you had a better player for a position that you never played because the first teamer had better stats (see Yankov over Coutinho in the default lineup). ![]() The best way to experiment for any length of time early on is to rotate the squad heavily for friendlies, cup matches and dead rubber matches. It's easy to get stuck using the same set of players for every game as you naturally fear dropping points if you don't, but you will need to call on the fringe players at some point, be it to allow a rest for an overworked midfielder, or to cover suspensions or a bad injury. ![]() ![]() ![]()

The COCOMO outlines a set of software scale drivers that attempt to capture some additional effort "amplifiers." The software scale drivers are as follows: The results of the meeting can then be used to estimate SLOCs. The idea is to envision what is outside our daily field of view, capture it as a raw thought, and process the information later. Every input in a brainstorming session is worthy of consideration. The team attempts to identify each application/class/library/configuration file to be developed, reused, or modified, and writes it down as a note. One approach is to assemble a team for a brainstorming session, ideally without cell phones, ipads, or laptops, but with a well-stocked pantry of snacks and beverages, a pile of sticky notes, and a large blank wall or table (see "Wideband delphi" method). Since requirements are rarely defined adequately at the initial stages, the process of determining how much code needs to be written is predominantly a RIGHT-brained activity the creative side of our minds. Estimating size requires expertise from the developers who will be writing the code. ![]() ![]() ![]() There are a total of 7 levels in the game plus 1 credit level and each level has different locations, some have these jetstreams which makes your movement super fast, some levels have these minefields, probably the only ‘difficult’ part to navigate, and you also encounter these Egyptian Hieroglyphs which lends a mysterious tone to your adventure. (Egyptian Hieroglyphs, these provide clues to your purpose in Abzu) Right music at the right time!! Talk about setting a mood. The way music is intertwined with the game is just brilliant, making your underwater experience even more enchanting. Another dimension to its relaxing nature is the wonderful soundtrack, composed by Austin Wintory, the same person who is responsible for the Grammy nominated Journey’s soundtrack. In the meditative state, your field of view changes and you can interact with the environment around you in terms of seeing what the fishes are doing, their activities like feeding on smaller fish. To stay true to its relaxing and calm nature, the game has these meditation spots scattered throughout the game in shape of a Shark statue on which you can meditate after interacting with the it. You can also ride the fishes in this game, even a blue whale, so exciting!!! You can also rescue wildlife trapped in the pools found in most levels as well as collect sea shells (optional, you do get a cool diving suit though if you get them all). Swimming alongside gigantic blue whales, manta rays, sharks, turtles and a plethora of other fascinating wildlife creatures. The puzzles you encounter in the game are mostly for show, what the game actually wants you to experience is the life underwater. The game doesn’t tell you much about your objectives, you just have to figure it out yourself but fortunately that is quite easy to do so and the scenery is just the cherry on the top. The pretty visuals, the vibrant colours of the surrounding vegetation, the flourishing wildlife and the melodious soundtrack makes playing the game worth it. Alas, there is no such thing as a coherent story in Abzu and you just have to make your own interpretation but honestly, it doesn’t really matter. Now, you might expect me to share the story of the game and babble on how heart-warming and wonderful it was. You wake up and the game walks you through the controls, leading you to the first level of the game. The sunlight streaming through the water looks so visually pleasing that you can’t resist taking a photo (just like me, lol). Your character is a diver who wakes up to find himself face down in the ocean. Clear blue waters as far as your eye can see, plethora of beautiful fishes, corals, vegetation, Egyptian Hieroglyphs, a journey of restoration, Abzu promises to be an underwater adventure the likes of which you’ll never experience. ![]() ![]() ![]() There’s also an iOS version available that works with iPhone and iPad.
